About The Position

Trulite is hiring a Class A Driver to transport materials to and from specified destinations. The role is based at 100 Business Center Dr., Cheswick, PA 15024. Drivers start at 5:00 AM Monday through Friday, are home on weekends, and average three overnight stays per week. Pay is $25.65, paid weekly, with quarterly and monthly safety bonus opportunities, a monthly production incentive compensation program, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments: $1,000 at 90 days and $1,000 at six months. Benefits begin on the first day of employment.

The driver performs vehicle inspections, loads and unloads finished goods and raw ingredients, secures cargo for transit, completes shipping and delivery paperwork, and communicates with customers, supervisors, and coworkers. The role requires a current Class A CDL, at least two years of experience after CDL school, and passing driver testing, a DOT physical, and DOT drug testing.

Requirements

• Current, active CDL Class A license.
• At least two years of experience after CDL school.
• Previous over-the-road experience.
• Familiarity with pre-trip and post-trip inspections and online log systems.
• Pass the driver's test.
• Pass a DOT physical (M.E.C.) and DOT drug testing.
• Proficiency in English.
• Basic math skills to understand product weight and truck limits.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, company policies, and applicable safety programs.
• Complete manifests, shipping and receiving documents, and other required paperwork and forms.
• Maintain certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
• Load and unload finished goods and raw ingredients.
• Secure loads during transit, including using blocking, bracing, blocks, and rope as needed.
• Use or learn the computerized system to complete shipment transactions.
• Drive a truck with a capacity of more than three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
• Distribute receipts for loads picked up.
• Occasionally collect payment for delivered goods and delivery charges.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with a supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Assist customers with the offloading process.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other employees.
• Use good judgment when making decisions in emergency and routine situations.
