Class A Driver

About The Position

Fior di Sole is looking for a dependable Class A Driver to keep product and materials moving between our facilities and to partner sites across California. In this role, you'll drive a variety of equipment on a regular basis. A big part of the job is drop-and-hook shuttling between our bottling line and storage warehouses. You'll deliver finished goods out and bring glass and other materials back so the line keeps running. Because this job supports production directly, we need someone who is safe, on time and careful with paperwork. You'll work closely with our logistics, bottling, cellar and warehouse teams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling liquid loads, securing flatbed loads and maneuvering around tight docks.

  • A tanker (N) endorsement
  • At least 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
  • Experience with 53' dry vans, including sliding tandems and backing into tight docks

  • A clean driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT drug and alcohol screening and an FMCSA Clearinghouse query
  • A current DOT medical card
  • Accurate logbooks, ELD records and delivery paperwork

  • Do thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete accurate DVIRs

  • Handle liquid loads safely, allowing for surge and a higher center of gravity
  • Handle required paperwork accurately, including bills of lading, weight tickets, tanker wash certificates, delivery receipts and ELD/HOS records

  • Make minor repairs such as light bulbs, mud flaps and air hoses
  • Follow food-safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards when hauling wine, juice and fruit
