About The Position

Daniels Health is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused driver with a Class A license and experience driving large trucks to utilize their experience across the Baltimore, MD area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This is a Full-time DIRECT HIRE position of 40-50 hours per week, offering a set rate of $30.00 per hour. A $3,000 new hire bonus is offered after successfully completing the probation period.

Requirements

• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!

Responsibilities

• Delivering throughout MD/DC/DE/VA
• Operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!
