About The Position

Southwest Traders is seeking a Class A Delivery Driver for their Temecula Branch. This is a local, family-owned business with high driver retention, looking for individuals who enjoy physical work. Drivers will be responsible for delivering a variety of products to accounts within a designated area, involving multiple stops throughout the day. This requires frequent exiting and entry to the truck cab for manual unloading of products. The role involves maintaining a proper cold environment within the delivery trailer and performing pre & post-trip inspections.

Requirements

1 year of driving experience is required.
Must have at least 1 year tractor trailer, route driving experience (preferably delivering food and or beverage products)
Must have a clean 39 month MVR and be knowledgeable of all federal and state regulations as applicable to the DOT
Must have excellent customer service experience and strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed
No active restrictions - must be able to operate automatic and manual
Must pass hair follicle test

Nice To Haves

Industrial athletes wanted – must enjoy physical work – 10-15 stops with 25k-35k lbs.
Food service: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Unloading and delivery of frozen, chilled and dry food products to customer locations within assigned route
Making back hauls, equipment returns or exchanges, assisting co-workers with routes as assigned by your Manager or Supervisor
Stock and or place products on customers’ shelves or another designed location when applicable
Resolve service complaints when able, issue credit memos for refused product, return product to warehouse and maintain effective communication with transportation supervisors, management and the sales department
Organize end-of-day paperwork for office administration
Perform Pre & Post trip inspections and maintain proper cold environment within delivery trailer
