About The Position

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Class A Delivery Driver based out of our Des Moines Headquarters. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 5 locations. We are committed to attracting a team that is passionate, innovative, and committed to meeting our customer’s needs. We are seeking a Shuttle Driver to primarily support operations in the evening. This role’s primary responsibility is transporting product between our Des Moines Headquarters to our other branches in the midwest. This is a home daily position. This position plays an important role in keeping product moving efficiently between facilities to support distribution needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and flexible. We are looking for someone who can also assist with branch-to-branch shuttles and provide coverage where needed.

Requirements

• Valid interstate eligible driver's license, 21+ or older
• Access to reliable and punctual transportation
• Pass a background check (including sex offender registry)
• Willing to recertify DOT Med Card and pass a DOT drug screen
• Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) and Clearinghouse full query
• Must be able to read and write English
• Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery orders
• Must be comfortable driving tractor trailers
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally

• Comfortable driving and unloading in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transporting product between our Des Moines Headquarters to our other branches in the midwest.
• Assist with branch-to-branch shuttles and provide coverage where needed.
• Safely operate vehicles at all times and follow all safety guidelines.
• Deliver and communicate with customers in a professional manner.
• Unload products using a ramp and hand dolly.
