About The Position

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Class A Delivery Driver based out of our Des Moines Headquarters. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 5 locations. We are committed to attracting a team that is passionate, innovative, and committed to meeting our customer’s needs. We are seeking a Shuttle Driver to primarily support operations in the evening. This role’s primary responsibility is transporting product between our Des Moines Headquarters to our other branches in the midwest. This is a home daily position. This position plays an important role in keeping product moving efficiently between facilities to support distribution needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and flexible. We are looking for someone who can also assist with branch-to-branch shuttles and provide coverage where needed.

Requirements

Valid interstate eligible driver's license, 21+ or older
Access to reliable and punctual transportation
Pass a background check (including sex offender registry)
Willing to recertify DOT Med Card and pass a DOT drug screen
Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) and Clearinghouse full query
Must be able to read and write English
Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery orders
Must be comfortable driving tractor trailers
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicles at all times and follow all safety guidelines
Drive and unload in varying weather conditions
Deliver and communicate with customers in a professional manner
Unload products using a ramp and hand dolly
Transport product between Des Moines Headquarters and other branches in the Midwest
Assist with branch-to-branch shuttles and provide coverage where needed
