Class A Crane
About The Position
This position is for a Class A Crane operator, starting as a temporary role with the potential to become full-time. The role requires a valid Class A license and Small Hydro crane certification, along with at least two years of crane operation experience. Responsibilities include performing vehicle and equipment inspections and cleaning, maintaining an organized job site, completing necessary paperwork and logs, driving and hauling loads, setting up jobs, and loading/unloading materials. The operator must adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE. The role also involves general labor tasks to assist co-workers and requires physical fitness. Willingness to work overtime, be on call, and work out of town is essential.
Requirements
- Must have a valid class A license with a clean driving record
- Must have a valid Small Hydro crane certification
- Must have at least 2 years of experience running a crane
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the yard
- Must be willing to work over time and be on call if needed
- Must be willing to work out of town if needed
- Must be physically fit enough to preform essential job functions required to complete job tasks assisting crews and all tasks required to complete the days work
Nice To Haves
- Oilfield experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Performing pre-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment
- Cleaning vehicles and equipment as needed
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized job site
- Filling out all required paperwork
- Keeping accurate logs of hours worked
- Driving and hauling loads on public motor ways and off highway areas
- Performing job set up tasks
- Loading and unloading of tools and materials both manually and with equipment
- Following all safety policies, procedures, regulations and laws in place with regulatory agencies, company and customer
- Wearing all required P.P.E at all times when required to do so
- Performing general labor tasks as need to assist co-workers with essential job functions
- Being physically fit enough to preform essential job functions required to complete job tasks assisting crews and all tasks required to complete the days work
