About The Position

Super-Sod is seeking experienced, safety-conscious Class A CDL drivers to join their team. This role involves transporting seed, sod, and soil products regionally, ensuring efficient and reliable deliveries while adhering to safety standards. The position is part of the shipping and receiving operations, primarily involving regional vehicle operations on farms, retail facilities, and customer properties. Requirements

• 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving.
• Clean driving record with no major or excessive violations in the previous 3 years.
• Valid Class A CDL and Medical Card, including multi-state certification status.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles.
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
• Physically and mentally fit.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Possess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shifts.
• Able to operate electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
• Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
• Map reading and route planning experience.
• An innate sense of direction.
• Self-starter who works well independently.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
• High level of composure and good stress management.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and leased trucks for shipping and receiving operations.
• Transport farm products and materials via truck for delivery, pickup, and relocation.
• Perform required pre-operation, during-operation, and post-operation maintenance and submit reports.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup.
• Operate all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain all required certifications from DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
• Maintain company property in excellent condition.
• Perform other assigned tasks to support team operations.
