About The Position
ADM Trucking is a food grade transportation company seeking a full-time Class A City Truck Driver in Des Moines, IA. This position offers daytime hours, no weekends, and home daily. The role involves driving and assisting in the wash bay. The driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading product, preloading trailers for OTR drivers, and cleaning oil trailers as needed. Equipment operated may include tank trailers, dry van, hoppers, pumps, facility equipment, hoses, and valves. Weekly hours can fluctuate, and overtime may be necessary. The company emphasizes adherence to all government, company, and customer policies and regulations, including FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, DOL, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- Tanker endorsement
- Ability to pass a lift test of 75lbs
- 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the previous 7 years
- Graduated from a Certified Class A CDL Program
- 21 years of age
Responsibilities
- Move product in a safe and efficient manner in city operations, including local customer deliveries.
- Preload trailer within the plant for OTR drivers.
- Assist in the wash bay – cleaning oil trailers as needed.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload product according to company and facility instructions.
- Follow all government, company & customer policies and regulations.
