About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, a successful bakery with a 120-year history in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a Class A CDL Transport Driver. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bakery products between facilities and distribution locations. The driver will operate single and/or double trailer combinations, ensuring timely deliveries throughout the Pacific Northwest while adhering to DOT regulations and company standards. Requirements

• Current Class A CDL with an acceptable and verifiable driving record
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card
• Ability to pass a DOT-regulated drug screen
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and any assigned shift
• Must join the union within 30 days of hire
• Ability to load and unload bakery products and transport equipment throughout the workday
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles for both local and long-distance routes
• Ability to meet all DOT physical qualification requirements and maintain a CDL driving standard
• Ability to work in a fast-paced transportation environment with varying schedules and route distances

Nice To Haves

• Two years of commercial driving experience
• Previous experience driving doubles

Responsibilities

• Operate single and double trailer combinations on city, interstate, and regional routes
• Transport bakery products to depots and distribution centers
• Load and unload trailers at assigned destinations
• Return empty transport racks and equipment to the bakery plant
• Complete assigned routes safely, efficiently, and on schedule
• Follow all DOT requirements, company policies, and Franz Core Values
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
