The Semi Driver is responsible for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service. This role involves running established routes, picking up raw materials, weighing in raw material when returning to the plant, and weighing in and out of customer locations as needed. The driver is responsible for ensuring loads are tarped before leaving the plant or customer location and maintaining cleanliness at customer locations. Additionally, the driver is responsible for the company vehicle, keeping it in clean condition, and conducting all safety checks and inspections. The role requires operating the vehicle under state, federal, and local regulations, adhering to company policy and procedures, and observing all company safety rules. Maintaining excellent customer relations through a professional appearance and attitude is essential. The driver must complete all company-required paperwork accurately and on time, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, and service forms. A daily vehicle condition report must be maintained and updated. The driver is responsible for managing DOT hours of service using an onboard computer in accordance with company policy. All other duties as assigned.
