About The Position

The Semi Driver is responsible for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service. This role involves running established routes, picking up raw materials, weighing in raw material when returning to the plant, and weighing in and out of customer locations as needed. The driver is responsible for the company vehicle, ensuring it is kept in clean condition and conducting all necessary safety checks and inspections. Operation of the vehicle must comply with state, federal, and local regulations, as well as company policy and procedures, while observing all company safety rules. Maintaining excellent customer relations through a professional appearance and attitude is also a key responsibility. The role requires completing all company-required paperwork accurately and on time, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, and service forms. A daily vehicle condition report must be maintained and updated. Additionally, the driver must adhere to DOT hours of service regulations using an onboard computer in accordance with company policy. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be current CDL Class A holder with tanker endorsement and clean MVR.
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Responsibilities

• Run established route; pick up raw materials; weigh in raw material when returning to plant and weigh in and out of customer location as needed.
• Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
• Conducts all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
• Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc).
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily.
• Maintain DOT hours of service with onboard computer in accordance with company policy.
• All other duties as assigned.
