About The Position

Local CDL-A drivers in the Charleston, SC, area are needed for a dedicated container drayage position with consistent local work, daily home time, and a Monday-Friday schedule. Drivers pick up loaded shipping containers from port terminals in the Charleston area, deliver them to customers, and return empty containers. Customers are located within approximately 150 miles of Charleston, with the average one-way trip being around 20 miles. This is no-touch container freight, using day-cab equipment and container chassis.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months of container or tanker experience within the last 3 years
• Valid Hazmat endorsement
• Valid TWIC card
• Safe driving record
• Ability to work occasional Saturdays
• No pets or passengers

Responsibilities

• Pick up loaded shipping containers from port terminals in the Charleston area.
• Deliver containers to customers.
• Return empty containers.

Benefits

• $25.00 per hour starting pay
