About The Position

Lakin Tire East, a Liberty Tire Recycling company, is seeking a Class A route driver for its West Haven, Connecticut facility. The driver services national accounts throughout New England and works with an experienced helper who assists with loading and stacking tires. Teams are home nightly. The position involves physical labor, tire loading, and work in different weather conditions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some required Saturdays; start times are flexible between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Compensation is $80,000–$90,000 annually, paid weekly, with overtime after 40 hours.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 6 months of experience.
• Maintain a clean driving record that aligns with DOT standards.
• Pass a DOT physical and drug test.
• Able to perform physical labor.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry.
• One year of commercial driving experience or equivalent military experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Load tires and use safe lifting techniques.

• Attend Transportation Safety Meetings.
