About The Position

The Schebler Company is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for a full-time position in Bettendorf, Iowa. The company designs and produces complex fabrications in stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys. As a driver, you will be the face of the company to customers, responsible for moving products and materials while providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
High school diploma or GED
Current DOT medical card, or the ability to obtain one
Acceptable motor vehicle record
Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing, including a Clearinghouse query
21 or older, required for interstate driving
At least one year of truck driving experience preferred

Ability to learn all material handling equipment we use

Ability to build good working relationships with employees, supervisors, and customers

Responsibilities

Operate company trucks for delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials
Stage items for delivery according to priority and job
Load and unload your truck
Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup
Inspect loads and secure cargo using straps, blocks, chain, binders, or covers
Complete vehicle inspections and confirm mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order
Maintain hours of service and vehicle maintenance logs per DOT requirements
Operate material handling equipment
Keep the equipment entrusted to you in good condition
