About The Position

The Intermodal - Local CDL A Driver operates a tractor-trailer to transport import and export containers to and from port terminals and railyards, and picks up materials on flatbeds or containers. The driver maintains log books and follows safety guidelines. The role also involves manually strapping and unstrapping flatbeds and performing physical tasks related to truck and container operation.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although hours may vary. Pay is $28 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Valid, clear Class A commercial driver license (CDL A).
• Good driving history.
• Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and Motor Vehicle Check.
• Experience handling 20- to 40-foot containers.
• Intermodal experience at a port terminal or railyard.
• TWIC card.
• Port experience.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of intermodal experience.
• Two years of port or railyard experience.
