About The Position

Best Line Equipment is searching for a CDL-A Driver to join the team at our location in Harrisburg, PA. This is a great opportunity for stable, steady daytime hours and limited weekends, with the ability to know your schedule every day and be home every night. The role involves transporting compact and industrial equipment throughout the company and to customer jobsites, following appropriate safety procedures, and loading/unloading equipment. You will also reconcile truck shipping and loading documents, including DOT documents, and interact with external customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A clean valid CDL-A driver's license.
Ability to pass DOT physical exam.
Knowledge of equipment weights and dimensions as well as capabilities of our vehicles and equipment.
A minimum of one to three years driving experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to sit for 30 minutes to 2 hours while driving, ability to stand for 30 minutes to 1 hour while loading/unloading vehicle and the ability to walk to and from the vehicle (50 to 300 feet at one time).

Responsibilities

Transport compact and industrial equipment throughout the company and to customer jobsites.
Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting equipment.
Load and unload equipment onto the vehicle (may involve climbing ladders, walking on top of a vehicle and moving equipment).
Reconcile truck shipping and loading documents including DOT documents (i.e. Logbook and Pre-trip Inspections Sheets).
Interact with external customers ensuring execution of contracts and advising in proper equipment operation.
