About The Position

US Foods is seeking a Backhaul Driver to join their team. This role is crucial to the company's operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week required.
Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.
Must be able to perform coupling procedures for the Tractor/Trailer.

Responsibilities

Safely drive truck to vendors and company drop-off sites.
Verify freight on truck, required trailer temperatures and accuracy of freight with vendors.
Return tractor and trailer to division when route is completed.
Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
