About The Position
Bedford Ready Mix has been in operation since 1985 and is a proud member of OSCO Concrete & Aggregates Limited. Serving residential customers as well as large-scale industrial and commercial projects, Bedford Ready Mix is backed by OSCO Concrete's extensive fleet of concrete pumps, including the largest concrete boom pump east of Montreal. We are currently seeking a Ready Mix Concrete Driver to join our team.
Requirements
- Minimum Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
- Completion of a driver training course an asset
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Previous experience is considered a definite asset.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, days, and late evenings.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver ready mix concrete to construction sites.
- Safely unload concrete at customer locations.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the concrete truck.
- Assist with general cleaning and maintenance of the plant and yard.
- Complete other duties as required.
