About The Position

The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety, efficiency, and upkeep of the hotel and its surrounding environment during overnight hours. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing any emergency repairs, and maintaining a secure and well-functioning hotel for guests and staff.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, attention to detail, time management, computer, and guest satisfaction skills are required.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to crawl for short durations.
  • Ability to bend, reach overhead, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in general maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment.
  • Operate and maintain the low-pressure boiler for the hot water system.
  • Repair HVAC/R equipment.
  • Operate and maintain other vessels as required for hot water, kitchen steam, and air conditioning systems.
  • Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs to hotel property and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Repair and maintain swimming pool and related pool equipment.
  • Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks in a timely manner.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Be knowledgeable about Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
