About The Position

This position is reserved for Nunavik Inuit Beneficiary of the JBNQA. The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest. The masculine is used for the sole purpose of lightening the text and designates both the feminine and the masculine. Only the selected candidates for an interview will be called.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Interest in tire repair and heavy equipment mechanics
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training
  • Class 5 driver's license (territorial accepted)

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics is considered an asset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Diploma in Heavy Equipment Mechanics
  • Able to communicate orally and written in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English or French (trilingual will be considered an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Assists with tire monitoring and tracking under the supervision of experienced technicians
  • Participates in tire repair activities
  • Participates in tire rotations
  • Performs all other duties related to the position as assigned
