About The Position

CEDA is currently seeking Class 1 or 3 Driver/Operators for our Pressure & Vacuum division at our Fort McMurray, AB location! Travel and accommodation are not offered for this position. CEDA offers full time work, rain or shine, and is in operation every day of the year. Competitive wages, excellent benefits and matching pension contributions starting on your first day! $750 Northern Living Allowance. 7x7 and 14x14 shifts with opportunity to work additional overtime shifts (especially during the turnaround seasons in the spring and fall). Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years is required
  • Driving manual transmissions (10, 13 or 18 speed) is required, must be able to pass a CEDA’s driver assessment.
  • 1+ years of operator experience in an industrial environment
  • CSO certification required
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience driving a Vacuum Truck is an asset.
  • Confined Space and Fall Protection certification an asset but not required, we will train you!

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Labourers operating and maintaining Vacuum trucks, High Pressure Water equipment and various specialty tools
  • 90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the ground!
  • Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacity
  • Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
  • Ensure safety for all team members and property
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
  • Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
  • Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
  • Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
