About The Position

This part-time, on-call position operates on a night shift schedule, Sunday through Friday, with compensation based on mileage and time at customer locations.

Requirements

Valid AZ/Class 1 license required.
Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience on AZ/Class 1 license required.
Meet the licensing requirements for the specific job opening.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and health survey.
CVOR, Driver abstract and a copy of a driver's license must be provided at time of interview.
Employment reference check will be completed.
Criminal record check will be required.
Required to wear PPE (provided by The Erb Group).

Nice To Haves

Some slip seating may be required.
May be required to be gone overnight up to 2 nights.
Will be required to operate DZ units.

Responsibilities

Drive safely in all types of road and weather conditions and temperatures.
Deliver freight as per schedule and company policy.
Communicate with dispatch according to department procedures regarding pickups, deliveries or inquiries.
Perform required pre-trip inspections ensuring equipment is in safe working order.
Communicate with the shop when maintenance is required.
Carry out all required paperwork according to company policy.
Comply with all hours of service and any other regulations for all jurisdictions operated in.
Ensure freight is properly identified/labelled.
Load and unload product in a safe, accurate and professional manner.
Comply with operations of The Erb Group and company regulations.
Operate the onboard telematic device, including the electronic log and communication system.
Attend Driver Safety meetings.
Perform other duties as required.
