Class 1 Flatbed Truck Driver
About The Position
The driver plays a key role in our operations by ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of our products from our manufacturing sites to our distribution centers located in Ontario and the United States. The driver will transport concrete blocks between various plants (Ontario, Pennsylvania, Midwest) and warehouses, ensure proper securement and strapping of loads on flatbed trailers, and perform load inspections and verify stability before each departure. The role requires accurate completion of all transportation documentation and adherence to all health and safety procedures at all times, both during loading and while on the road. The driver must wear required personal protective equipment at all times (helmet, safety vest, boots, etc.), safely handle and transport heavy loads, and contribute to meeting delivery deadlines and maintaining smooth operations.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience or CFTR certification
- Excellent driving record with no more than 5 demerit points
- Valid passport
- Functional English — ability to read and interpret documents and instructions, and to hold a functional conversation with a customs officer if needed
