About The Position
Bison Drivers are paid every week, on time! This continental team B shift runs in Yard 2. This is a full-time position, working up to 45 hours per week with 12-hour shifts. The hours of work may change from time to time according to operational demands. Bison Transport is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Requirements
- Class 1/AZ license
- 24 months tractor trailer experience
- Comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing, texting, and internet
- Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
- Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
Nice To Haves
- Shunting experience is an asset
- LCV qualified
Responsibilities
- Trailer movement
- Trailer staging
- Trailer quality checks
- Trailer greasing
- Handling all incoming requests to the Winnipeg shunt team on assigned shift
- Managing all trailer movements on assigned shift
- Working closely with Shunt Coordinator, City Dispatch, Maintenance, and the Warehouse on daily shunting activities
- Ensuring other shunt drivers are operating with good efficiency and offering coaching to improve
