About The Position

Bison drivers are paid every week, on time! This position runs Sunday to Thursday with Sunday starting at 2300 and start time for Monday to Thursday is 2130. Usual Start location: Yard 7 Calgary. Hourly rate: $24.25. Reporting directly to the On-Duty Shunt Leads and indirectly to the Shunt Coordinator. Actively Shunting to facilitating trailer flow for Bison Transport customers according to posted schedule while adhering to all bison safety practices. Engaging in shunt team equipment readiness processes when not fully engaged with the customer requests. Escalating issues to the Shunt Lead so they can assist in resolved in a timely manner. Other general shop/yard duties may be applied. Communicate effectively via phone, email, Teams and yard management log. Some overtime will be required when it presents itself to meet customer demand. May be asked to assist other departments when workflow slows down. May Be asked to cover at any of our current customers without notice within your ability level.

Requirements

• Company Driver residing in Calgary or immediate area
• Valid Class 1/AZ License and 24 months tractor trailer experience is required
• Operate well in a team atmosphere
• Comfortable with and willing to use personal smartphone technology for emailing, texting, and entering data
• Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations with provided equipment
• Reliable, flexible and punctual
• Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
