About The Position
NSSL is a family-owned business specializing in Short-Haul and Shunting services, with over 20 years of experience in yard management operations and technology. NSSL offers a TOTAL YARD MANAGEMENT PROGRAM for warehouses, manufacturers, and cross-dock operations across North America, managing over 400,000 shipment movements monthly for major clients. This role is for a safety-focused company where safety is the number one priority. Class 1 Shunt drivers are needed for full-time afternoon and night shifts.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license
- Efficient trailer back-up and parking skills
- 1 year trucking experience
- Clean Abstract, and criminal record
- Able to conduct work in a safe manner.
Nice To Haves
- Shunting experience an asset
Responsibilities
- Using Shunt truck trailers between Load and dock.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks.
- Transporting loads safely and efficiently.
- Abide with company rules, regulations, and policies.
- Ensuring vehicle is maintained clean.
