About The Position

This position is for a Clamp Truck Operator on the 1st shift. The role involves unloading and managing roll stock, inspecting for damage, labeling, and organizing inventory. The operator will also be responsible for bringing materials to the machine, servicing the butt roll discharge area, reporting mechanical issues, following safety procedures, and maintaining a neat warehouse. Equipment inspection and proper PPE usage are also required.

Requirements

Must wear all necessary PPE
May be required to lift up to 50lbs during shift

Responsibilities

Unloading of roll stock
Inspecting roll stock for damage
Labeling each roll with International Paper tag
Setting apart damaged roll stock and communicating damage to shift supervisor
Ensuring bill of lading is signed
Placing roll stock into raw stock inventory
Keeping paper rotated on a FIFO basis
Organizing rolls by grade and width
Organizing rolls with smaller butts first
Checking schedule for current and next orders to run on machine
Bringing paper to machine at the correct station and putting it in the correct position
Servicing the butt roll discharge area
Reporting any mechanical problems to the shift supervisor
Following safety procedures for safe operation of work equipment
Keeping the warehouse neat and orderly
Inspecting equipment before use, including locking in dock lock and ensuring tandems are in the correct position
Wearing all necessary PPE
