Clamp Truck Operator
About The Position
North Star Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, a corrugated manufacturing industry leader, currently has exciting opportunities available for a Clamp Truck Operator on 2nd, or 3rd Shift in Cottage Grove, MN! The Clamp Truck Operator is responsible for making sure that all units are banded properly and have a clear visible load tag on them when being loaded and that there are no broken or missing straps on the units. This position stages units in the warehouse and loads/unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will be responsible for performing a visual quality inspection on items and ensure that units and truck counts are accurate on the trailer/ carrier and that all paperwork is accurate. This position performs our last visual quality inspection of all items loaded & unloaded.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Clamp Truck Operator experience
- An energetic, motivated, and dependable worker who is dedicated to the job and team
- Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays dependent on customer demand
- Ability to train on various shifts during first 90 days
- Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging, and results drive environment
- Ability to function as mature, professional individual, who interacts positively with teammates
- Ability to attend weekly team meetings on Tuesdays, 30 minutes before your shift starts (1st & 2nd Shift), 30 minutes after your shift ends (3rd shift)
- The willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle any tasks required for the success of the team
Responsibilities
- Making sure that all units are banded properly and have a clear visible load tag on them when being loaded and that there are no broken or missing straps on the units.
- Staging units in the warehouse and loading/unloading trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performing a visual quality inspection on items and ensure that units and truck counts are accurate on the trailer/ carrier and that all paperwork is accurate.
- Performing the last visual quality inspection of all items loaded & unloaded.
