Supervises and directs the activities of Claims Representatives in the investigation and settlement of claims to assure prompt, efficient and fair claims services. This role involves reviewing initial claim notices, determining coverage validity, screening for flow process qualification, and managing questionable cases. The Team Leader assigns work, delegates settlement authority, and may directly settle higher-value claims. They oversee investigations, ensure timely contact with insureds and claimants, establish and adjust loss reserves, and evaluate the performance of subordinate Claims Representatives. Additionally, this position initiates subrogation or recovery proceedings, directs Claims Attorneys for cases in suit, and participates in human resources functions including performance evaluations, training, development, salary administration, and recruitment.
