As a key part of the commercial client relationship, this role involves educating and informing clients about claims and loss history, while fully advocating for their needs. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Resident Property and Casualty Agent's license or willingness to pursue within 60 days of hire
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel), and all agency automation software (Applied Epic preferred)
  • Strong respect for confidentiality
  • Experience in detail-oriented client service roles are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and independently process and report claim information received to insurers.
  • Obtain and analyze loss run reports from insurer for the purpose of claim reviews.
  • Closely monitor the status of large claims and suits and notify manager of all losses reserved in excess of $250,000 or any loss that has significant potential of developing into a sizable or questionable loss.
  • Promptly respond to insureds’, insurers’ or claimants’ questions and/or requests for assistance.
  • Communicate with Claims Manager regarding significant requests or problems and/or information not received.
  • Maintain the electronic account file and fully incorporate the capabilities of the agency management system into daily workflow.
  • Prioritize workload to consistently meet objectives and request assistance from management when necessary.
  • Comply with requirements of quality programs.
  • Follow agency and department procedures as outlined by management.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain, develop, and pursue technical knowledge through newsletters, bulletins, seminars, trade publications or other educational opportunities.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  • Perform any other special projects and duties as assigned.
