About The Position

The Claims Specialist is responsible for managing claim-related activities by gathering and reviewing all relevant documentation, assessing claim causes, and ensuring process codes are accurate and properly updated. The position includes coordinating with outside counsel on appropriate matters to support timely resolution and maintaining consistent communication by providing status updates and correspondence to claimants throughout the process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has 3- 6 years title insurance or related experience
  • Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Microsoft office products with an emphasis on MS Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certification desirable

Responsibilities

  • Obtain relevant documentation
  • Review claim cause and process code for correctness after assessment; establish/update process codes as required
  • Outsource appropriate matters to outside counsel for resolution
  • Provide status updates and correspond with claimant
