About The Position

Arbella is seeking a Claims Service Assistant II to advocate for customers during challenging times. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, offering exceptional customer service and working directly with the Glass Claim team. The Claims Service Assistant will guide individuals through the claims process following a glass loss and provide essential support to the Claims department. No prior insurance experience is necessary, as training will be provided for those with strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle telephone calls using good customer service skills.
  • Manage walk-ins/public assistance.
  • Assist with Surcharge Docket Administration and Total Loss Administration.
  • Aid the Glass Department in glass claim facts, determining coverage, and accurately establishing and resolving each claim.
  • Open incoming mail and prepare batches for scanning into an electronic system and then index to correct claim.
  • Order and stock supplies for the office at request.
  • File any special handling documents or media materials as required.
  • Establish claims in an electronic system utilizing various sources in the computer system to obtain required information; and, assign appraisal according to established guidelines.
  • Produce a variety of reports, spreadsheets, and/or email for daily and monthly data.
  • Performs other related work as required or requested.
