About The Position
The Claims Representative analyzes Workers Compensation claims on behalf of Sedgwick’s clients to determine benefits due. The role ensures ongoing claim adjudication meets service expectations, industry best practices, and client-specific requirements. It is based at the Las Vegas, Nevada office and requires Nevada jurisdiction knowledge and licensing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Nevada jurisdiction knowledge and licensing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and process claims by developing action plans, investigating, and gathering information to determine claim exposure and achieve timely, appropriate resolution.
- Negotiate claim settlements within designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
- Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for direction professionally and promptly.
