The Claims Property Field Catastrophe (CAT) Representative is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating the settlement of assigned property claims, with a focus on serving customers and ensuring quality file handling. This role requires responding on short notice and for extended periods to CAT deployment directives, which may include weekends, and traveling to catastrophe areas to assess and settle personal and commercial property claims resulting from natural disasters. The representative is expected to achieve high policyholder satisfaction by adhering to service standards, explaining coverage, assisting with damage itemization, emergency repairs, and living arrangements, and coordinating with various vendor services like contractors and experts. The role also entails responding to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and internal partners, contributing to a positive work environment, mentoring team members, and providing technical support to the Catastrophe Claims team. During non-catastrophe periods, the representative will assist with complex personal and commercial lines claims.
