Claims Investigative Specialist
About The Position
The Investigative Specialist reviews complex and often unique claims to assess their validity and ensure accurate outcomes. In this role, you will investigate and verify the facts of loss for a range of automobile claims, from basic to advanced scenarios. Leveraging your auto claims adjusting experience, you will evaluate coverage, determine liability, and assess damages. You will also take ownership of the claims process by making informed decisions and effectively negotiating settlements. Every claim presents a new challenge. This fully remote role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, analyzing information, and making confident decisions while supporting customers and internal partners.

Responsibilities
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
- Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
- Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage.
- For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome.
