About The Position

The Claims Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to Claims Counsel/Analyst in the form of basic research and assisting in the file preparation and management.

Requirements

  • Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization
  • Microsoft office products with an emphasis on MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and work under pressure
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has 1-2 years administrative experience

Nice To Haves

  • Title insurance preferred
  • Paralegal certification desirable

Responsibilities

  • Assist in investigating claims and provide support to Claims Counsels/Analysts
  • Obtain relevant documentation, compile closing files / title research for Claims Counsel/Analyst’s investigation
  • Maintain schedules / calendars and expense reports
  • Handle invoices / billing and work closely with accounting to accomplish payment of all expenses / settlements
  • Assist with major claims as needed
  • Provide paralegal support to Claims Counsels/Analysts as needed
