Requirements

1 year experience in a Claims department.
2 years office experience.
Computer keyboarding; written and verbal communication; PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, typing skills.
High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support to the Claims Department. Supplies information, produces correspondence and otherwise performs administrative functions in relation to assigned tasks within specific claims units.
Process payments as directed by Claims Leadership and according to company policy.
Assist with directing internal and external incoming calls and/or taking phone messages.
Process and distribute mail, faxes and reports to Claims Examiners.
Processes and request police reports, photographs, and maintains logs.
Responsible for accurate statistical entry of all claims, check posting, voiding, or stop payment of checks in the AS400 computer system.
Performs other duties as assigned by leader.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
