As a Claims Coordinator, you will help support that mission by serving as a key connection point between employees, leadership teams, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators throughout the claims process. In this role, you will support the administration and coordination of workers’ compensation, general liability, auto, property/product loss, and other claims across our retail, distribution, and manufacturing operations. You’ll help ensure claims are handled accurately, efficiently, and compassionately while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You’ll serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and claim partners by helping navigate claim processes, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting timely claim resolution. Your work will directly contribute to improving outcomes, reducing risk, and supporting a safe and welcoming workplace for all employee-owners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of administrative, claims, Human Resources, or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience supporting claims administration, incident reporting, or employee relations is a plus
  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation, OSHA recordkeeping, and insurance claim processes preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, leadership, vendors, and claim partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and email systems
  • Experience with claims management systems or third-party administration platforms preferred
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel to company locations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review First Reports of Injury and other claim or incident documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Enter and report claims timely to insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs)
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for claim-related questions and updates
  • Communicate directly with employees, claimants, managers, carriers, and vendors with professionalism and empathy
  • Gather and submit supporting claim documentation including wage statements, photos, videos, and statements
  • Monitor and track claims from initial report through closure
  • Support return-to-work and modified duty programs in partnership with HR and leadership teams
  • Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and internal tracking systems
  • Assist with OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs
  • Process designated internally managed claims and assist with compensability determinations
  • Monitor open claims and follow up on outstanding items to help drive timely resolution
  • Assist with claims reporting, metrics, trend analysis, and cost tracking
  • Support claims review meetings, injury prevention efforts, and safety initiatives
  • Participate as an active member of the Support Center Safety Committee
  • Assist with creating training materials and safety-related communications
  • Help identify opportunities to improve claim processes, reduce costs, and enhance employee experience
