About The Position

Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket is looking for a Claims Consultant to join their team. This position will provide strategic claims consulting, advocacy, program analysis, and risk services to clients in partnership with brokerage, placement, and service teams. The role involves serving as a trusted advisor to clients regarding complex claims, coverage interpretation, claims trends, and loss mitigation strategies. The Claims Consultant will lead claims advocacy efforts to support timely and equitable claim resolution while delivering insights that enhance client risk management and insurance program performance. Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket operates as a division of Brown & Brown Insurance and is a market leader in providing insurance products and services to automotive aftermarket business owners and their employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field, and 8 to 10 years of commercial insurance and claims experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable state insurance licenses.
  • Experience managing complex commercial property, casualty, executive risk, cyber, or specialty claims.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance policy structures, coverage interpretation, and claims management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze claims data and provide actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong client relationship management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead client discussions and influence outcomes among multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team-based client service model.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance agency experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of multi-line Property and Casualty coverage and products preferred.
  • Broad understanding of insurance policy, forms, and applications preferred.
  • Property and Casualty Insurance License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advocates for clients throughout the claims lifecycle, including claim reporting, dispute resolution, coverage discussions, and negotiation of timely and equitable settlements.
  • Provides consultative guidance regarding policy provisions, carrier coverage positions, claim handling practices, and claim resolution strategies.
  • Leads and coordinates claims strategy for complex, high-severity, catastrophic, and multi-jurisdictional claims.
  • Develops and executes client-specific claims service plans aligned with organizational objectives, risk exposures, and claim management needs.
  • Collaborates with brokerage, placement, and client service teams to support account strategy, renewals, stewardship meetings, coverage discussions, and client presentations by providing claims expertise, loss trend analysis, and market intelligence.
  • Analyzes claims data and loss trends to identify opportunities for risk improvement, claims cost reduction, and loss prevention, and develops stewardship, benchmarking, and executive-level reporting for clients.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations regarding coverage concerns, emerging exposures, and claims trends impacting client insurance programs.
  • Facilitates collaboration among carriers, adjusters, legal counsel, engineers, consultants, and other service providers to support favorable client outcomes.
  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with carrier claims leadership, independent adjusters, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Supports new business pursuits, prospect meetings, requests for proposals (RFPs), and finalist presentations by providing claims expertise and thought leadership.
  • Serves as a strategic member of the account team by providing claims expertise, loss insights, and market intelligence that support client retention, growth, and placement objectives.
  • Mentors and coaches junior team members while contributing to the development of claims best practices, service standards, and team knowledge sharing.
  • Attends required training and continuing education programs, maintain applicable licenses, comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
