Requirements

2 years of claims experience (life claims experience preferred but not required).
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to quickly learn new systems.
Works effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.
Adapts well to procedural and organizational changes and maintains a positive, learning-oriented attitude.
Intermediate level of English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Process and pay life insurance claims by reviewing coverage, gathering required information, and calculating benefit payments.
Research beneficiaries, medical records, legal documents, and other information needed to make claim decisions.
Prepare correspondence, update claims systems, and maintain accurate claim files and documentation.
Communicate with policyholders, agents, funeral homes, and other stakeholders by phone, email, and written correspondence to ensure successful claim resolution.
Process reinsurance claims, maintain tax reporting information, monitor suspense accounts, and support special projects and departmental needs.
Assist with overflow work and cross-train with other Claims Analysts to support team operations.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
