About The Position

This position supports OneAmerica Financial Claims teams by ensuring timely, accurate administrative support that helps customers feel secure and cared for. Claims Admin is responsible for contributing to the overall success of OneAmerica Financial objectives by helping our customers maintain a sense of security and their well-being by effectively providing timely and accurate administrative support to the OneAmerica Financial Claims teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Accurate data entry and document management skills.
  • Empathy and responsiveness in customer interactions
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools.
  • Mandated background checks as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree and/or minimum of 1 year working in a fast-paced office environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance administration terms and process is a plus.
  • Familiarity with claim processing systems and administrative platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Request, verify, and collect claim documentation via phone or written communication.
  • Follow established procedures and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Input claim data across various lines of business (e.g., annuity, disability, life insurance).
  • Provide consistent, empathetic service across all customer groups.
  • Maintain clear and compliant records of all communications and claim activities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders (agents, beneficiaries, physicians, etc.) while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Support team goals and participate in projects.
  • Embrace change, suggest improvements, and support innovation.
