About The Position

Cottingham & Butler is seeking ambitious and driven individuals for its 2027 Summer Claims Adjuster Internship Program. This 10-week program offers interns the opportunity to work directly with clients, manage claims, and gain a comprehensive understanding of a full-time client service role. Interns will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims, build relationships with clients, and collaborate with team members to solve client challenges. The role involves communication with a wide variety of individuals, including CEOs, claimants, providers' offices, and attorneys, and provides opportunities for networking with clients, industry professionals, and fellow interns.

Requirements

History of academic and/or extracurricular excellence.
Self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Process claims by investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims on behalf of clients.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities and tasks involved in a full-time client service role.
Build relationships with clients through friendly interaction, timely execution of requests, and close attention to detail.
Identify and address pressing issues by developing strategic solutions, and collaborate to implement tailored client management strategies.
Communicate with a wide variety of individuals, including CEOs, claimants, providers offices, and attorneys.
Build connections with clients, industry professionals, and fellow interns through networking events and social activities.
