About The Position

Vega Claims is growing rapidly and is opening an Active Talent Pipeline for Claims Adjusters. The company is seeking top-tier talent to join their AI-native future and contribute to a world-class claims experience. This role involves managing first and third-party bodily injury claims and associated physical damage. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence in the Atlanta office, and the team is distributed across Columbus, OH, New York, Atlanta, GA, and Chile.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in commercial auto claim adjudication, with at least 5 years handling injury severity losses
At least 3 years of carrier commercial claims experience
Experience handling claims up to $250k FDV
Active adjusters license in home or designated home state
New York licensing required within first 3 months of employment
Consistently exceeds targets including, but not limited to, cycle time and recovery rates
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to lead negotiations

Customer centric working style
Strong collaborator with team members based across the country and the world
Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments
College degree or minimum of 10-years of claims experience

5+ years of carrier commercial transportation experience
Litigation experience
Independent adjuster licenses in New York
Insurtech or start up experience

Responsibilities

Analyze coverage based on the facts of the loss
Make informed liability decisions, including the consideration of comparative negligence
Collaborate with claims leadership on severity losses, reserve adjustments and claim evaluations
Evaluate settlement demands
Negotiate settlements with first and third party claimants as well as attorneys
Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends
Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization
