About The Position

GiaMed JV, a joint venture between MedTrust LLC and GiaCare Inc., is hiring civilian Registered Nurses to work at Brooke Army Medical Center, serving our military heroes and their families. This is a patient-focused role within a structured environment at the Department of Defense's largest facility and only Level 1 Trauma Center. As a Full-Time GiaMed JV employee, you can expect low patient ratios, a supportive team of LVN's and Techs on every unit, no on-call requirements, competitive pay, and generous health insurance benefits, including a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Must be U.S. citizen
BLS current
At least one (1) year of full-time bedside experience within the last five (5) years working as an RN in a Mental Health Unit.

Knowledge of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
Knowledge of de-escalation techniques
Knowledge of Joint Commission recommendations for restraint application
Experience in the application of mechanical restraints
Knowledge in the mental health nursing process
Knowledge of individual and family dynamics in health and during illness
Knowledge of individual and group modalities
Knowledge of theories of personality development, human behavior, psychopathology, diagnosis, chemotherapy, psychotherapies, and physiological response to alcohol and drug abuse withdrawal.
