About The Position

The Civil Superintendent is a full-time position supporting an Advanced Technology project, including the Data Center market segments. The role leads construction production and workforce activities, ensuring work is coordinated and completed efficiently and in compliance with contract drawings and specifications. The Superintendent plans and coordinates work methods, materials, equipment, and schedules; supervises subcontractor production and workforce; and helps identify and mitigate project risks and production issues. The role also promotes strict adherence to safety, process controls, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of heavy civil construction experience.
• At least 5 years of construction management experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of construction-site equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of construction-site safety protocols and demonstrated ability to enforce project safety programs.
• Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing-wage rules, if applicable.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract-specific plans and specifications.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts including probability, statistics, and basic geometry, and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan work methods, material needs, equipment needs, and work schedules for assigned project work; review daily schedules with direct reports and update weekly schedules based on project feedback.
• Review project specifications and support job setup activities.
• Work with crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on the job site.
• Coordinate with internal equipment teams and external vendors to ensure appropriate equipment and material quantities are available within the assigned budget and schedule.
• Forecast work schedules, identify potential issues, and recommend technical or scheduling measures to mitigate production problems.
• Provide technical input to identify and resolve project risks involving construction methods, work plans, materials, safety, and scheduling.
• Document daily activities and meeting notes using company-approved methods.
• Promote and support adherence to safety and process controls for equipment operation, worksite safety, and documentation; recommend training needs identified on the job site.
• Supervise subcontractor production and workforce for assigned project work and recommend schedule or work-method adjustments.
