About The Position
Progressive Design, Inc. is hiring a paid Civil/Structural Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. The onsite internship is located in Midlothian, Virginia, in the Richmond area. The work will include job shadowing, client site visits, and design engineering project work, with an interest in heavy industrial work and consulting engineering. No housing stipend is provided. Progressive Design, Inc. is a private, family-owned heavy industrial engineering and design consulting firm founded in 1986. The company provides engineering services to manufacturing facilities and clients, supporting work such as EPC/turnkey projects, feasibility studies, process improvement and design, process upgrades, air pollution abatement, environmental compliance, product design, industrial capital projects, and project and construction estimates. It serves clients across a range of industries.
Requirements
- Be a current junior pursuing a Civil/Structural Engineering degree in an accredited undergraduate program.
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Be results oriented and a team player.
- Demonstrate an uncompromised commitment to quality.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Pass a drug test and background check.
