We are seeking a motivated Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation Division. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to grow within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working on meaningful bridge projects for public and private clients.

Requirements

  • BS or MS from an ABET accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 0–5 years of applicable bridge engineering experience
  • Ability to acquire EIT certification
  • Experience or coursework in bridge design including AASHTO LRFD
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn OpenRoads and MicroStation
  • Familiarity with bridge design software for structural components
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • EIT/PE licensure in WV or OH strongly encouraged and supported
  • Knowledge of or exposure to WVDOH or ODOT standards a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of bridge projects including superstructures, substructures, and retaining walls
  • Perform structural analysis and design calculations under the direction of a senior engineer
  • Assist in the preparation of construction plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Support QA/QC reviews of design documents
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across multiple office locations
  • Develop professionally through mentorship from experienced engineers
