About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join our Water & Wastewater Group in Richmond, VA. This role involves managing assigned projects and client accounts, focusing on marketing, client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, staff coordination, client communications, scope and fee negotiation, billing, and fee collection. The Project Manager is expected to maintain strong client relationships, cross-sell services, and communicate regularly with the Group Leader. The ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience
  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia and/or one or more states where Timmons Group operates
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering related to Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure markets
  • Ability to design/manage project portions using relevant office software, modeling, and CADD technology
  • Proficiency in completing calculations using engineering formulas and skills
  • Ability to utilize computers to solve problems
  • Experience preparing specification materials using research and equipment catalogs
  • Experience assisting in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
  • Effective communication with clients, staff, and internal design teams
