About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager specializing in Stormwater to join our Stormwater Group in Richmond, VA. The role involves managing assigned projects and client accounts, focusing on marketing, client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, staff coordination, client communication, scope and fee negotiation, billing, and fee collection. The Project Manager will maintain strong client relationships, cross-sell Timmons Group services, and communicate with the Group Leader. The ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes simultaneously is essential. Responsibilities include preparing project specifications, completing design details and plan sets, performing research, writing summary reports, and working with local governments on TMDL and MS4 Regulatory Compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience.
  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia, and/or one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business, or ability to obtain P.E. in Virginia in a timely manner.
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering related to Stormwater management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in marketing and supervision of the technical work of others.
  • Working knowledge of CADD and/or Civil 3D software (Civil 3D preferred).

  • Working with Local Governments on TMDL and MS4 Regulatory Compliance issues.
